UPDATE 3/25/26: Well, whadya know? Crime is down 43% in Memphis where Trump’s National Guard law enforcement assistance has been allowed to function. And lo and behold! The presence of ICE agents at the airports has suddenly eradicated the impossibly long lines and general chaos. Maybe the American people are realizing that law enforcement is a good thing. Maybe Trump has not one but a LOT of better ideas that every sensible person automatically supports.
